A short flashback-esque video using footage from the deployment. I had to cut it short due to the time limits imposed on my by other pursuits, and that only so many photos and videos were shot during the deployment and firefights, (owing to the phrase "If you are filming, you aren't shooting enough").
In 2007,Bco 2/16 deployed to Kamilayah, a violent neighborhood near Baghdad's Sadr City area. The neighborhood had not been touched since 2003, and was teeming with Al-Qaeda, Gangs and numerous splinter groups of the Mahdi Army. Through living in an abandoned factory in the heart of the area, usage of unconventional tactics, well planned raids, search and destroy missions, and making every attempt to win over hearts and minds without appearing weak, B Company achieved the impossible, making one of the deadliest areas one of the quietest. However, it came at a cost. Casualties were factored in, as well as those wounded, both physically and emotionally.

Man, great job with the editing, especially with the synching of the lyrics to the images. Choosing to go in the old film mode was interesting..... the memories of the past will forever stay in the present...

Very brave of you, I think I would never be able to live and be in a place like that, where I would have to watch out everywhere not to be killed or have to kill somebody.
My prayers were always with you.
