A tasty and healthier alternative to beef. Check out these chicken burgers next time you feel like grilling.
To make your burger patties:
1 lb ground chicken
4-5 garlic cloves (diced)
1/2 cup diced onion
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 tbsp paprika
1/2 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp ground cumin
1 tbsp ground black pepper
1 tbsp fish sauce
Mix everything together in a bowl until all ingredients are incorporated real nice.
Form your patties by making small balls with the mixture and pressing them with your hands.
Prepare your grill by lighting some charcoal on one side of the grill as for the indirect cooking method.
Start by placing your patties directly over the coals paying attention not to break them at this point as they are quite fragile.
Grill them 2 to 3 minutes per side, then move them to the other side of the grill and cook them indirect heat for another 10 minutes.
Add some cheese to the top of the patties after 5 minutes if you wish. By the time they are done, the cheese should be nice and melted all over them.
Use buns or any bread of your liking, top with your choice of ingredients.
