In real life, Frank Sutton was a judo expert. In this and a few other episodes, Sutton displays some of his martial arts expertise as well as has fellow actors to "flip him" on occasion.

i recall a surreal moment from one episode of this show - - sgt. carter, apparently feeling 2 inches tall, is actually reduced to a physical stature of 2 inches in height. i think it happens at the very end of the episode. which episode is that?

I saw Gomer Pyle in New Orleans in 1973 at the Mardi Gras. He was in a restaurant where I was eating. I walked over to him and told him that I had watched him for years and he was one of my favorite actors and extended my hand to shake hands with him. He ignored me and would not shake hands. The faggot is a real prick. Every time I see him now I think of what an asshole he is.

Actually, I'm studying Aikido right now (no, I'm no good at it), and I have to say it's hard to flip over like Sgt. Carter just did. It's scary, and it hurts.

Guest star was George Fennaman who was on the old "You Bet Your Life" show with Groucho Marx.

Yes, even Seargeant Carter. Just love watching a male t.v. icon of machoism feeling shameful after being flipped by a pretty girl! USMC: "The Few. The Proud, The Ashamed."
