  • this song echos the way towns and cities were during the coal miners strike of 84 and 85-thanks a bunch maggie thatcher for turning our society into a riot filled scrap heap, people were freezing in the winter time thanks to you, coz they couldnt get any coal for the fire! IRON LADY! HA! MORE LIKE THE FUCKIN RINKLY OLD BAG WHO TRIED TO CLOSE THE PITS SO EVERYONE HAD TO FREEZE THEIR TITS OFF!!

  • thumbs up if you love the JAM

  • can't help but dance everytime i hear this!!!

  • I look like an absolute twat when I sing this in my car, but I feel so good I don't care! :D

  • Very well worded, comprehensive, but punctuation, crap!..........ShoutOut must 'av a crackin' dad.

  • My dad sent me here.

  • @JoelyGas74 stfu lol. who gives a crap.

  • Such incredible pathos and tough romanticism. There was despair then but the faintest whiff of hope ...... somewhere ... The result was music like this.

  • @JoelyGas74 too rite mate, im 20 now, the jam arent my fav mod band, but i respect them for their other people's fav mod band. i grew up with scooters around me everyday, wen teachers used to ask us what we did on the weekend i used to say i went on the back of my dads scooter, my teachers were interested cuz they used to ask more lol, but everyone else didnt noe. not their fault just they were never shown the light. :P

  • @Ryehead77 that's not what they mean at all .What they mean is that even the new generations still like music from the 80's and it isn't dead to them even though they are from about 30 years since the songs were made.
