@LynolsOffice The first engines were OHV. Look up 1928 Briggs PB, theyre all OHV.

I never realised they made OHV engines that long ago, ive never seen one that old, did briggs make them that long ago too?

Yeah the engine on this was replaced, it's from 1979. I think in the very late '70s Tecumseh started making OHV engines, but I don't think Briggs made them until the late 1980's with the introduction of the Vanguard series.

looks like a 14 or 16 with the OHV. i thought that the 12 was a flat head.

I checked the numbers on the engine when we got it, it's a 12hp for sure. I've seen a few. It's one of Tecumseh's first large OHV motors. I was hoping it was a bigger one too.

is this the same tractor that was in the december 07' tractorland update? or is this a new one. if so do you still have it?

No, this tractor is a different one. The one in that Dec '07 video is the late '60s Sears Super 12, it's in MUCH better shape.
