Universal messages in the World Congress of Poets

Associates of Megas Seirios Publications participated and were awarded various prizes in the 22nd World Congress of Poets that took place from the 29th June to the 3rd July 2011 in Larissa, Greece. The congress, in which 205 poets from 65 countries participated, was held by the United Poets Laureate International (UPLI) with the aim to promote "World Brotherhood and Peace through Poetry". We, at Megas Seirios Publications, are deeply devoted at serving these ideals since its foundation.
The responsible of Megas Seirios Publications Mrs Voula Kostopetrou, in her speech written in collaboration with the author Ms Victoria Makri, presented the universal messages in the poetry of the philosopher and poet Dimitris Kakalidis.
The poet's messages of hope were emphasized in this presentation; messages about the grandeur that is inherent in every individual, about the person's ontological dimension which is expressed when we are in full service to others, about love, concern and compassion. Giving a constant breath of expansion, Dimitris Kakalidis teaches people that the man is the group and the group is the whole universe.
Poets, scholars, men and women of letters that were present made favourable comments and referred to Dimitris Kakalidis as "the poet of today", while others pointed out how deeply they were moved and that "his poems filled their hearts".
