Metroid Prime - Omega Pirate

Ya know, this boss from Metroid Prime I used to consider the hardest boss in the game... then I learned a better strategy. XD

This towering, space pirate menace can be fairly troubling for first-time players since it's the first major boss you see for many hours (they really should've thrown a boss in for Magmoor Caverns to help slow that gap...) This fellah's big, mean, and provides many awkward camera angles... If you're locked onto him, you cannot watch your step, and there's spots of Phazon radiation around his room, and Phazon can damage you fairly quickly when you're stepping in it.

The pattern for this boss is simple enough... blow up all his bright blue, phazon-filled pieces of armor, then he'll go invisible to your Combat Visor to regenerate in the phazon pools. Use the X-Ray visor to spot him, and stick a Super Missile into him... he'll summon minions when he disappears, I find there's enough time to kill the first batch before the Omega Pirate appears for your first strike, but after that, try to ignore and dodge the minions and apply as much damage to the big guy as possible...

In this video I'm on Normal Mode so I take him down after breaking his armor only once, but if it were on Hard it would take two or three times since he has more health.

I'd post videos more often... but all work and no play is making Pinky go a little bit crazy... =@.@= So much work, so little time...

I came to this video because can't seem to get this guy HP down past 75% on hard mode because his reinforcements keep owning me. XD I should probably keep working at it...

If u use a super missile on a locked on part of armor it breaks the first time it hits, and dont shoot when he puts his hand out cuz he just absorbs it
