Inspired by a good friend who recommended the song, The Lonely Man Theme from the Incredible Hulk, I decided to put this footage together. It begins with a lengthy but peaceful train ride from Gare Centrale (Montreal Central Station) through the U.S.-Canadian border, and finally arriving at the Big Apple - New York City. The train passed through much of upstate New York and hugged the tranquil waters of Lake Champlain for a large part of the trip. South of Albany, the route followed the Hudson River and passed a number of historic sites. The views from the train are serene as you will see in the video. I wish I would have captured more for you. The train ride is long, roughly more than eleven hours, but it was well worth it. The superior comfort, extra legroom, and the ability to walk around and access the cafe car made up for the long journey, and view wasnt bad either. Plus, I had plenty of alone time to reflect on. It was much needed.
I hear that the reverse of this trip is beautiful as well. Perhaps next time I will take that route, from NYC to Montreal. And if you have taken this ride, please DO tell me about it.
I hope you enjoy this one and dont forget to rate it as well as my other videos. And remember that I always welcome your feedback and comments, good or bad.
NOTE: Due to a mysterious glitch in my editing software, the clip below has a few minor audio jumps - I havent been able to come up with a solution yet but I will in the near future ... I hope! If youre a Mac Expert or familiar with iMovie, I welcome your help and support.
