@DAPDave McMahon had him lay low from the wwf following WM1 and when he killed his girlfriend. So he was working AWA and indy's at this time...

Holy shit!!! That Savage/Steamboat setup for their feud was unreal. I remember watching that as a kid and being so pissed at Danny Davis on an almost weekly basis. WWF 84-88ish was the best for me!!!
