  • Because the TP-13 is not nearly powerful enough for that. It is the equivalent of the american Mk-46. It's primary design is not to attack surface vessels, as it is only powerful enough to do superficial damage.

  • if you know this. you should know that the name realy is "TP613" and that it´s primary design is to attack surface vesseles. I worked with this torpedo for one year in the navy.

  • The torpedo they showed being shot into the water did not do that. Only a sub-launched torpedo is powerful enough to do that kind of damage.

  • Thats right. The torpedo you see, is a swedish "tp-13" torpedo from a "FPB" and the one blowing up the boat is a sub-launched german torpedo.

But how do you know that the tp-13 torpedo don´t do as much damage as the german sub-torpedo?

This film is from when I served in the navy working with torpedos.

  • @johntvette Think we had one of those (mk48) on the Robert e lee. I think the drill was shoot it and run like hell.

  • the Norwegian navy sucks dick .

makes me ashamed of being Norwegian

    FUCK SOCIALISM!

  • That was a HUGE explosion! Impressive.

  • Hauk-class mtb has no means to attack a sub ,only surfaced targets.

  • First off, nobody really cares about the name primitive swedish munitions. Secondly, that torpedo design was plagarized off of the original MK46 US torp. It is built mainly for anti-torpedo and anti-sub defense. Why in the hell would a surface vessel want to use a small Torpedo against another surface vessel, when missiles are far more effective???

I worked with Torps for 5 years, specializing in the MK48 ADCAP. Look that one up.
