  • One more comment...check to see if your motor board is screwed down properly. Perhaps the screw is a bit loose. A quarter turn to tighten may keep the door from swinging open.

  • It may be simply that, over time, moisture has evacuated the wood and loosened the case up a bit. Or, it could be due to the case being skewed just a bit during shipping. Could be a simple adjustment is needed to keep that rascal closed. Or you could simply write it off to a character feature of your phono. The more important consideration is how it sounds. If the motor is good and the phono presents well...it's all good.

  • I fixed it and it's better now. At least it stays closed.

  • Just received my VV VI in oak yesterday. I'm surpised at how loud it actually plays. Only problem I have is the right-side door doesn't stay closed.
