In a disaster people don't eat and rape each other, look at Katrina and Haiti. Movies are social engineering vehicles and use predictive programing as subtle mind control. So in a disaster your brain reverts to the last point of reference to a similar situation which will be the last 50 Hollywood movies you saw and then people will go out and rape and kill. People turn on each other after a disaster and help each other the same way as they did in so called "socialist " countries before. When there wasn't enough money and everything for everybody to distribute, so they had to help it out for themselves by connecting each other. So called "poverty" and "restrictions (not starving to death) make most humans more sociable (human) than richness, money and so called "whealth" - you are right!

The American dream is only possible when you sleep. Hahaha.. I am amazed of the cynism, the hoplessness, the bitterness and agression many americans show the world. I have black american friends, and i like black people cause they seem to more honest, even if they can be assholes too. But white conservative americans are worse. The American Dream is not about social justice, equal poverty for all with no incentive nor reward to succeed. The American Dream is about the free market. It rewards those who make it with both money and feelings of accomplishment.

The American Dream is not a welfare state for all. It challenges all to become better to get the things they truly want in life. There will always be poor. Why should we abolish the middle class for the elitist desire to redefine the American Dream?

I'd just like to point out the problem with all the movies such as 'Book of Eli' or what have you, when a calamity throws us into Mad Max mode: they're based on a false premise. In reality, in times of crisis, people typically group together and support one another, and crime rates drastically decrease.

We're social animals, naturally inclined to support one another. It's conditioning that changes that. I'm only saying this to suggest that we're not as vulgar or irredeemable as we seem.
