this should be required viewing for ALL "modern democrates" and esp President Barack Obama. then maybe they would be reminded that the mission of their party is to fight FOR working people and the underprivileged and NOT be "Republican Light".

I recently viewed Laurence Fishburne's one man play "Thurgood". was decent acting BUT nothing close to James Whitmore as Will Rogers or Harry Truman

I remember sitting on the floor watching this with my parents back in the ‘70’s when I was a kid. I really appreciate being able to see this again as an adult. Its been over 30 yrs since I watched this in my parents livingroom. I've admired Mr Truman as our greatest president since then. His brutal honesty and whit is a blend of Mark Twain and Will Rogers. Thank you for posting and maybe more history and political science students will draw some wisdom from this.

what a brilliant actor. The work it must have taken to learn the dialoge and mannerisms. I do not believe there are many actors with that kind of dedication today. If there are I wish we could see them.

Agreed, Truman has always taken the rap for the bomb, but he was the most down to earth and honest man ever to be president, James Whitmore is, as always wonderful, thank you for posting it.
