  • As for "THE FBI", even though ABC was scheduling less than half of their prime-time lineup in color that fall, the series had a sponsor who was willing to spend the extra money to film it in color: the Ford Motor Company (the better for their various models to be seen in full color in each episode, as well as their commercials).

  • ...and there was an added incentive for "MY THREE SONS" moving to CBS, 'Corporal'- producer Don Fedderson sold the rights to the series to CBS, contiuning to supervise the series for them. Naturally, they were willing to covert the show into one of their first regularly scheduled color series that fall...the better for future syndicated repeats.

  • @spacepatrolman Absolutely 100%

  • @CorporalPitts THEY DONT SHOOT FROM THE HIP ANYMORE ONLY THE RIFLEMAN DOES

  • Much obliged for The FBI Promo from ABC's 1965-66 Season. The Fugitive, The FBI, Honey West, Twelve O'Clock High, The Patty Duke Show & My Three Sons were the Best Shows on ABC, that I am proud to have watched every week at a young age. My Three Sons had just moved to CBS's 1965-66 Season after ABC would not commit to the expense of producing the sitcom in color.

  • Man, this makes me feel old and I was not even born then.

  • One of my favorite shows! Thanks for posting.
