@afroblack1000Yes indeed...I couldn't agree more with you, bro. This is really what music is supposed to be about-great feel good factor.Songs like this(with soul,as you'd say) reminds one of the good old times. We just enjoyed being young and we loved good music for what it gave us-raw, innocent, clean fun;we didn't need to be high on substances to feel good..great memories from a truly great era in music.
It's also my pleasure shearing sweet memories with you.
@Nadel60 . Oh boy, how u dey? It feels good to chat with a Brother from back home..We were so lucky to have grown up in that era of mindblowing music. One thing I find very interesting, music with soul at the time were more popular in 9ja and remained underground/rare in the West. When it came to 80's soul music back then, 9ja no get time for politics, if the music was great, we felt it. If the music was crap, we never felt it, even if it won a grammy award.
@afroblack1000 Oh boy!How can I forget that radio Rivers 2 made the Garden city one of the liveliest places to be,as far as good vibes like this were concerned?I remember Aquarius nite club,Mr Z, just to mention 2-both in PH.Another "bad" city was Warri. But Lag was steps ahead--that was where the real action was.But generally,Naija was one of the sweetest places on the face of the earth, back in the day. We're truly blessed to have grown in Naija of that era-I swear! Cheers man!
