  • It measures current leakage through the insulated boom. Measured in milliampes.

  • No, not one bit.

  • Voltage doesn't matter it's all about amperage

  • Look up faraday cage . If you look closely both men who touch the live line are wearing faraday suits. With out going into to much detail extremely high voltage runs on the outside of the wire as to through the middle. As long as they touch the same phase or line not between two different wires the electricity goes on the outside of the suit. Mr faraday figured that out back in the 1836 or so.

Its not that simple....Voltage does matter a lot. Current flow is governed by the voltage difference between the source and the ground and the resistance of whatever is between (See Ohm's law).

Additionally, Higher voltages are conducted better through skin than lower voltages and will arc further to get to you.

12V car battery (able to supply 120A to start a car) safe to short with hands.

240V mains (able to supply 13A) can easily kill you.

  • Throw water on him I dare you, no wait I double dog dare you.

  • He should try out for the x-men

  • @SuperchargedMustang5 true, but you need like 50v minimum or the amps wont get through the resistance of the skin

  • So what happens if you let go too quickly?

I've never really understood all this bonding business.

  • @fairyheli2 i know ohms law i work with car audio car audio is all about impedence

  • @SuperchargedMustang5 but volts overcome resistance, learn ohms law

  • @SuperchargedMustang5 V = I/R would imply that they're both more than dangerous enough.

  • When you're doing that, do you feel the 60 Hz vibrations in your hands/body?
