  • all of your comments are too long... so im not gonna read them

  • @xfactoreric Thanks for the post. That is what I have been saying. And, if anyone out there thinks that Earl (of Portland, OR fame) would get his ass kicked by bowlers of today obviously have never seem him bowl. He bowled on the newer conditions as well as when the conditions were beaten by plastic, then urethane balls, and resin balls. Obviously, these guys never watched Earl bowl or they wouldn't post such absurd shit.

  • @slkaiser69 but that doesnt mean you could compete and keep up with the exempt players now... you couldve been the most promising bowler back then but bc of how much the game has changed, even in the past few years, you cannot compare yourself to them... im not saying youre not good, all im saying is youre comparing things that cant be compared... earl anthony was the greatest bowler OF HIS TIME and is still #1 on the list but he would get his as kicked by some of the guys today...

  • @BowlingIsLife300 I was one of the better bowlers even until age 50. I chose to be a

CPA instead because at the time there was more money in that profession. I bowled and cashed often but chose bowling merely as a hhobby.

  • @slkaiser69 i never said you dont know how to bowl anymore or couldnt be successful. i actually said quite the opposite bc at its purest form, bowling is an accuracy game, if you can be accurate then you can be successful but sports are all about finding better ways to compete, ways to give you an edge over opponents and thats what differentiates the best from good, you might be very good but theres a reason youre not exempt... like you said, everything evolves and this is bowlings evolution...

  • @BowlingIsLife300 So yo9u gus are saying I don't know how to bowl anymore? I've made $3,000.00 in a week-end bowling sweepers. I cashed in the U.S. Open, I've cashed in the PBA. I throw a lot of ball. I never said I didn't. But Dule and Williams will always be able to compete becaise they are accurate. But I don't leave any 1-2-8-10';s either. Anyway, like you guys seem t5o be saying is it is a fun game and just enjoy the sport for what it is. Everything evolves or die

  • @slkaiser69 to further prove my point, norm made 2 tv finals last season and walter ray made none. now compare that to jason belmonte making 4, osku palermaa making 3 with a title, dan maclelland making 3 and chris barnes making 3 with 1 title. the game is changing and you can fight it all you want but the fact is, the best bowlers will still come out on top and until that fails to hold true i will be a true bowling fan unlike you and all the other people neglecting the beauty of the modern game

  • @slkaiser69 and i never said it was hurtful to not throw revs, duke and wrwj are 2 of the most accurate bowlers on tour and thats why they succeed but you dont see anymore guys like them as new up and comers, you know why? bc people are accepting that that isnt the best way to bowl anymore bc of the tougher conditions, even duke and wrwj are making less and less shows compared to the modern power players. the new era of bowlers combine accuracy with power to create maximum area and forgiveness.

  • @slkaiser69 youre seriously gonna tell me that the new conditions are taking the talent out of the game? thats completely opposite, conditions are getting tougher to compensate for the balls getting stronger. the game is changing and you can bitch all you want about the balls making it easier but the fact is the game, at its heart, remains the same, the most skilled players will still come out on top... following your logic handicap should be banned too bc it helps inferior bowlers compete

  • @BowlingIsLife300 I have bowled on the new conditions, new lane conditions, etc. I have played with a urethane bowling ball. All these things take the talent out of bowling. That's why they have a plastic ball tournament, to get people to play on tough conditions for a change. Think about it. More revs haven't hurt Norm Duke or Walter Ray, hyas it.
