Protection Shelters owner Dale Zogleman explains how a storm shelter can be installed in a garage as a saferoom. This shelter is handicap accessible, 5x5 in size, has three 8" hinges, 3.5" 1/2" x 14" deadbolts, 36" wide door and has a design windspeed of 250 mph. This shelter also comes with a serial number and compliance sticker that verifies that the shelter has been built according to the National Storm Shelter Association standards. This shelter can also be used as a panic room or document storage room. This model comes in a variety of sizes to suit your storm shelter needs.
