you guys now how to have fun. chevy!
-
says who?
-
havent hit a slick spot yet ? if ur wheels are spinning and you hit dry ground the stock ones will just snap like a twig

I'm amazed how well my cv's handle the power of a 454 in my 86. I've taken it to the sand dune in oregon a few time and did not take it easy for the most part just had to keep a eye on my temp while out there

go to a driveshaft shop and get ur self some custom cv shafts built will hold as much torque as the 4.3 can throw on it
-
yeah the 4.3L has all the power you need. just depends on how crazy you want to get.
but yeah, the cv joints are kinda weak.

i later bought a 85 s10 4x4 with a 2.8, kinda built it as a joke, cut the fenders off and put 33s on it, and it lasted 3 years. my current project i got going on now is a 93 s10 with a 4.3 with fullsize blazer axles on it. the biggest week point in these trucks are the front cv joints. when i had the 33s on it i was snapping them pretty much everytime i turned the wheel. so with the fullsize axles i got nothing to worry about
