clip featuring bass virtuoso Michael Manring, playing a tune called "The Enormous Room". Footage was shot at the NAMM show. I didn't tape this, and if you are the one who did let me know, so I can give you credits for it.

  • there truly is....another guitar player behind him 8-0

  • I would like to see Michael Manring and Steve Bailey play together.love that tone!

  • i do like his way of playing .like no one

  • He also has a bridge which allows him to drop a further tone

  • i dint know zon would have a booth at namm i always thought they were kinda small?

  • Close, the manufacturer is actually Hipshot. They make normal tuners as well as what Michael has which are called Xtenders or as some call them D-tuners.

  • I believe it's called a "Hip Shot" or something like that...basically this tuning pegs have little levers attached to them and for example..if he has it for a low E string and hits it it'll automatically go down to drop d or something to that effect. So this guy has the Hip Shot for every string and also has an adjustable bridge that changes all the pitches so he has a huge advantage to getting many different tunings and keys as well as harmonics.

  • SCOTT HENDERSON PLAYING BASS!!!

  • yes indeed. There's a video on here called "Michael Manring explains the Hyperbass" (LWPHrRwQqVE) where he demonstrates the switches, and also gives an intro to this specific song. He seems like a very funny guy too :)

  • if im not mistaken, he has a locking device on there that he moves, and it changes the tune of the string, if you notice some of the notes when he messes with the head stock, the notes go hi or low, like a hammer on or pull off, just on of the things that makes Michael Manring, Michael Manring
