Electronic, and greener forms of efficient public trans should be invested into as well, so there is less emphasis on driving.

People who put solar panels on their houses in Germany get a tax cut.

The citizens should be reimbursed by the Government for adopting new technologies that not only are better for our environment, but which profit America through independence and even exportation of our technologies and/or fuels.
We need to explore all the alternatives before we harm our planet deliberately.
Oil is so precious compared to the abundance in which it came hundreds of years ago. If we keep drilling till the last drop there may be more bloodshed than oil.

Rather than abolishing our environment to prolong our century old technology, the government should encourage competitive R&D and reward companies that execute a plan to bring us green energy independence. Companies like Mazda should feel that prototyping their Hydrogen/Gasoline rotary hybrid cars would be more beneficial in the US than in any other country like Japan. Companies like United Nuclear should be supported and rewarded for their effort in developing safe hydrogen car conversion kits.

Barr totally owns McCain on energy, elsewhere on youtube... hilarious... he actually takes apart McCain's energy policy, part by part... It is truly the comic highlight of the 2008 election... And of course, Barr also owns Obama, the marxist, on energy and basic economics... Barr and Root are two men running against the mainstream child-minded politicians... Both are the intellectual superiors of Obama and McCain. Let's hope, for our future, that they are also their advertising superiors...

We need to become more energy independent! We can't do that with more government in bed with big business. End the tyranny, vote for Bob Barr!
