  • Look at the guy on the right: he's probably about 45 years old and bald as a coot.

Then take a look at David, who has thick hair, hardly any grey and he's 76 years old. Makes you think!

  • Its Illya Kuryakin!

  • Flight Lieutenant Simon Carter!

  • start with the 2nd paragraph below

  • whisked along onto the "stage" (clearing) at the Little Oak Wood by the strong arms of that tall man and woman, as my feet barely touched the ground! I don't remember those two faces above me, but now I find that Oberon was -- David McCallum! Wow! He was 17 at the time according to the Google search result, which used his Wikipedia page. I have enjoyed his bimodal career, on The Man from UNCLE almost 50 years ago, and now as Ducky Mallard on NCIS! I'm glad he held my hand so long ago.

  • I have lived in the United States all my teen and adult years, but when I was seven I lived in Golders Green (London) with my mother and grandparents. They introduced me to the Play and Pageant Union (which I just googled), and I was very lucky to appear in three productions. The first was A Midsummer Night's Dream in 1950, where I played the Indian boy, who was protected by Titania and Oberon, the queen and king of the fairies. It has been a lifelong thrill remembering being whisked along

  • did not know he was in his 70's. he does not look it.

  • His accent's got an American twang to it now. It's a little sad.

  • Don't be too harsh on the interviewer. For many of us in the UK, David was a childhood hero who disappeared off our screens after the early 70s. He remains an iconic and somewhat enigmatic figure - Adrian (the interviewer) was completely overawed. Touching really!

  • @sirtinycreep
