I'm sorry were too many people going to college or something? I find the topic a great deal ridiculous. There will always be a solid amount of trade workers. There is no need for us to not support higher learning, especially in our overly illiterate country. How about this: everyone shuts up and lets people do what their dreams and desires steer them towards.
My son got me watching Dirty Jobs several years ago, long before it was famous. It's an amazing show and it's great to see it get the recognition it deserved.

The problem with skilled trades is that a very small percentage of people working in these types of jobs actually make a living wage.
