Oakville Humane Society ... Mya

**update - November 2009

Sadly, before she could find a permanent home, Mya has tragically left us.
In what seemed like the blink of an eye, she was diagnosed with cancer, and within weeks, she succumbed to the disease.
She lived in our adoption office for most of her two years at the shelter, and made many friends there.

She will be terribly missed by the staff, volunteers and all those who got to know her during her time with us.

Mya came to the shelter October of 2007 and she has really made herself at home! Mya does take some time to settle into new surroundings and isnt herself when she is scared. She will need a room that she can call her own for a few days before she takes on a big house. Once she has settled in she will become your best friend and claim all beds for her own. She likes to spend most of her time snuggling into beds or on your lap. Bikini season is coming and Mya is on a diet that hopefully will help her get back down to her normal weight. She has lost a few pounds already and should remain on the special diet to maintain a healthy size.
Mya doesnt tolerate other cats in her space and prefers to be the one receiving all the attention. She also doesnt tolerate any dogs bugging her or trying to play with her. Mya asks that she live in a home were she can be the only pet. If you are looking for a laid back, snuggle bug that is just happy to be with you than you will want to have a look at Mya.

Poor Mya, in just a snap, she had that cancer. Well, at least, she spent the remaining days of her kitty life with you. No regrets because I know you took care of her.

I pity her so much... poor girl... how old was she? I hope at list she was pretty happy in shelter.

I have met Mya in person several times and I can attest that she is just a lovely lovely cat :-) I hope she finds her home soon!
