It looks like he plays it in A. In the Sound of Music it is played in B flat (very difficult). The easier way is you use a capo on the 3rd fret and play it in G.

That was amazing! Could I ask for the chords that you used to play this? I am a huge fan of the song and this is by far the prettiest rendition I have heard
