These young men are so strong and so blessed to be able to get this off their chest. Some people are uncomfortable hearing it; however, others who have experienced this same abuse are blessed to have these young speaking out and making it "o.k." for them to also speak out. We will see these young men healed by the power of Christ Jesus. With true discernment, they will trust God, themselves and others again. They will be trustworthy. They will marry and become real fathers they didn't have.

My heart goes out to each and every one of these young men. They are VICTOMS. It was not their fault. Eddie abused his power and he is a PREDATOR. Point blank period. And any adult who justifies this is SICK, black christians are no different then the catholics hiding the behavior of their sick priests. I am disgusted and ashamed. As a mother i am enraged. Eddie redefined their definition for LOVE...this is why they dont trust is anyone who shows them love after what they experienced. the churches response and ostracizing these men for speaking out is TYPICAL of ANY organization that operates in isolation which is also no different from bullying.

At the age of 22-years-old, I confronted him. A lot of the guys ( and their were several ) are in the closet. One was even in a popular hip - hop group that if I mentioned it you all would know immediately!

When you are a teenager and fatherless ( or with a passive father ) -- man like Bishop Long and their position captivates you. It is like a FATHER AND SON relationship and almost anything that is done is accepted. Again, when you are YOUNG you don't know any better. I know because when I was 13-years-old, I went through this which continued for about 6 years.
