  • Blood, Sweat, and Tears was my favorite band in high school. They had it all together. Rock, Blues, Soul, Jazz ect. New Blood was a great album. I used to listen to it over and over. I saw them on the New Blood Tour at The Providence Civic Center in Providence, Rhode Island around 1974. Great show. Any Rhode Islander's at that show? I Bobby Colomby was a great drummer. One of my biggest influences to this day. I think Jerry Fisher had a stronger voice than DCC. Great band. Mike G. Drums. R.I.

  • They were under appreciated at this point, what with very key personnel changes, to say the least. Besides D.C. Thomas leaving, Fred Lipsius and Dick Halligan had both departed as well, and they were the main arrangers, by and large. So, the sound was different. I was a fan of the three afformentioned band members, and

although I thought the new music was good, it wasn't BS&T to me. Eventually, however, I was able to appreciate this incarnation of the band on their OWN merits...They cooked!!!

  • This song's opening horn riff opened the album "New Blood" as the 1st track. Bob Dylan's songs never sounded like this! This B,S & T version is a tour-de-force. The original recording had a Steve Katz harmonica solo.

  • That's Tom Malone on trombone? Don't often get a trumpet player making that switch! Would've like to hear Dave Bargeron having a blow over that tune as well

  • blown away by the video quality on these posts.

jeery fisher was a hell of a vocalist

  • Love the Dylan song. BST did a fantastic version -- I wonder if D C-T ever sang it.

  • Really too bad we don't see enough horn sections in pop music today?!!!

7 minds - Coffee, was an incredible piece featuring a full horn section!

  • Ah yes, those were the days for sure! Thanks for the memories..great clip!!

  • Great tune - from the New Blood album, 1st one the group made w/out DCT as lead singer.

They really whale on it, too - Jerry is fabulous, & you can tell the whole band is feelin' the groove!

    Thanks for posting!
