The Secret Life of the East High Teenager [[chapter 2]]

Troy and his friends went over to their table and we resumed our lunch. I sneaked a glance over at a far off table to see a guy sitting down with dirty blonde hair. He looked over at me and gave me a smile. I smiled back as my heart started pounding. But I was broken out of my trance when Nick started talking.

Nick: So, whos all going on this vacation?

Jocelyn: Mine and McKells families, your family, Stellas family and Keishas.

Keisha: actually, Im not going, just my parents.

Nick: Wait, why arent you going?

Keisha: Uh, well, I- uh, I have to go stay at my grandmas. oh look at the time Ive got to go.

She got up from the table and dumped her lunch tray and hurried out. Well That was weird.

???: Whats her hurry?

Kevin: Oh hey Alex.

Alex Russo sat down next to Kevin and stole his pudding.

Kevin: Hey.

Alex: Oh my bad. Thank you Kevin for the pudding.

We just laughed at Alex, who was like this pretty much every day.

Jocelyn: Wheres Harper?

Alex: She had some sort of fashion thing to go to, and Miley and Lily are both sick, and Justin is a loser and is sitting with the math club.

McKell: oh, have you guys noticed that Miley and Lilly miss a lot of school? And Miley hasnt been home a lot either.

Joe: Ive noticed, but oh well.

Stella sat at the table with Macey and we all said hello.

Macey: Hello Joe, Kevin, and Nick of Jonas.

She was sighing happily and we all just laughed. Macey still couldnt get over the fact that JONAS went to school here.

Stella: So McKell, Jocelyn, Grandma wants us to go to her house after school.

Stella is also my cousin. Let me explain a few more things. Troy had his group of friends, and they were all like family to me, but I hung out with a completely different group of people. Miley Stewart, Lilly Truscott, Oliver Oaken, Alex Russo, Justin Russo, Stella, Jocelyn, Macey, Joe, Kevin, and Nick were all the people that I hung out with. We were pretty much one big family. But my real family would consist of Coach Bolton, who is my dad, Troy Bolton my Brother, Jocelyn my cousin, and Stella my other cousin.

Jocelyn: Uh oh, why?

Stella: Who knows?

Alex: so I have some pretty juicy news.

Stella: Ooh, tell me!

Alex: Connect Three is coming to our school!

We all started squealing and the guys covered their ears with their hands.

Nick: That Cookie Cutter Pop star Crap of a Band is coming here?!

Jocelyn: Oh my gosh they are amazing.

Macey: They definitely arent as great as you guys.

Kevin: They arent that great.

McKell: I beg to differ. That Shane Gray is one hot guy.

Joe: Pfffft. Whatever Im way better looking than that guy, and our music is way better. Start the party? I mean seriously, what a dumb song.

McKell: Hmm. Reminds me of Live to Party.

Kevin: Only ours is better.

???: Excuse me, but did you say that Connect 3 is coming here?

We looked up to see a shy looking girl standing behind nick, with a girl with curly hair and glasses on behind her.

Alex: yeah, they are supposed to start after the Winter Break.

???: Oh, well thanks.

She turned to walk away.

Alex: who are you?

???: Mitchie Torres, and this is my friend, Sierra Adams.

McKell: Its nice to meet you.

Mitchie: You too.

She walked away with Sierra and we went back to eating.

Joe: She was acting weird, dont you think?

McKell: well, I dont really know her, so I cant really say she was acting weird.

After lunch ended we went to our separate classes. My next one was with Alex. We made our way to history and sat In the back where we always sat.

Alex: I swear if Mr. Laritate has another pop quiz Im going to kill myself.

McKell: Oh come on, they arent that bad.

Alex: easy for you to say, youre a straight A student. Oh well, I can just look at your answers.

McKell: you keep thinking that.

Alex: Well if you dont kn-

Mr. Laritate: Pop Quiz!

The class groaned. After a 20 question pop quiz we were taking notes on World War II. Alex slipped a piece of paper to me. I opened it up.

Alex- So did you hear that Riley made the baseball team?

I wrote back.

McKell- Yeah, I did. Are you going to be his good luck charm at the games?

I folded the paper up and handed it back to her hoping not to get caught. We kept passing it back and forth.

Alex- of course. :D
McKell- even after the chocolate incident?
Alex- at first he thought I was weird, but he got over it and he thought it was funny.
McKell- you make me laugh. You are always getting in to some sort of trouble but it always plays out in your favor.
Alex- Im just that good.

I just silently laughed. After the bell finally rang me and Alex were the first ones out of our seats and out the door.

Alex: oh my gosh that was pure torture. Now I know why I never go.

McKell: Ill see you after school.

Alex: thats if Im still here.

I just laughed and I walked down to my music class. Thank goodness I knew lots of people in that class.
