Sword of the Stars: Zuul battle HD

This game owns so hard. If you like strategy games, you won't be disappointed. You can buy the game (and all the expansions) for $15.99 on steam. I love how mass drivers punt destroyers when they hit them. I am still learning how to play as the Zuul effectively. This wasn't an interesting battle, but I'll post some more videos up later of something less one sided, and perhaps some tutorial videos. I mainly posted this as a test to see how HD quality looks like for this game.

Not really a battle, I keep thinking, pick on someone your own side when I watch these posted battles where the player outguns and out techs the opponent, more like mop up in my opinion.

In SotS on normal mode you generally will pick only pitched battles that you are sure to win. In hard mode you will also rarely see close battles between equal forces unless you're playing Hiver because all AI players get 50% research and 50% income bonuses. To win in hard mode you have to raid like crazy, bio-bomb all unprotected colonies and maintain an empire twice the size to simply remain on par with the AI players.

I know... the AI is always ahead of me in tech even if I have 4 million income a turn AND Artificial Intelligence researched. Mop up is really not that fun, next time you are stuck in a situation where the AI is too easy just switch empires and attempt to destroy your own empire and everyone else.

Nice. It seems I spend most of the start of my games blowing up Zuul destroyers. lol. Also, I'm more fond of the ap rounds and plasma cannons. =D
