  • mahalo to all you commenters, and mahalo to more than 2,373 (Aug. 2010) viewers who watched this video. May this be a reminder to all of us haoles that it is a PRIVILEGE for us to be here on Hawai'i - esp. in regards to how the ainas have been acquired - with unlawful force and violence. Kanakas please do everything you can to preserve your language. If our narrow-minded haole ancestors succeeded in ridding you of the most beautiful language on this planet, please don't hesitate to relearn it.

  • This song brings hapiness to my soul. Thank you

  • This Hawaiian Ballad came to my mind today, once I lived 16 years on Oahu and two of my children were born in Hawaii. This song made me think of the poor folks along the Gulf Coast who are now seeing death and destruction of their beaches thanks to all the man made cruel actions.

  • Musicians, left to right: Charlie Kealoha, Arlo Guthrie, Robert Kekaula, Cyril Pahinui. This is a scene from the short lived ABC TV series, "Byrds of Paradise".

  • Cyril Pahinui , with hat on, is on guitar.

  • The guy from tv is Robert Kekaula

  • Wow good cast of characters there! Can you please name everyone? Bla Pahanui? The guy from tv? Is that at Punahou? When was this? Thanks, Jimbo in Makakilo
