  • I think those that become Monolith are also marked ones, they are all pawns for C-C. Strelok could ve been a Monolith before he got asked to kill Strelok.

  • I think Scar died from the last blowout and the Clear Sky unit was brainwashed and made monolith soldiers.

  • SmashHappy4U >>> It took me around 50 hours to beat the game but I spent a lot of time exploring the area and doing optional missions.

theeeees >>> No, you have to understand by yourself =)

  • Whatever people think " you have to understand by yourself " and stuff like this ( We had a ton of stuff like that already in the game ) this end is shit.

You have to fight over powered soldiers who OS you and don't die from a shot in the head, grenade spam worse than in a COD ( seriously, cooked grenades, 3 at the same time, on your exact position ) enemies have aimbots and then, you have this fuckin cutscene. 50 fucking seconds saying " you just got fucked "

  • @Jormaukko He only went twice to the NPP, I think

first, he is with doctor, ghost and another one and he reach npp, and scar is following him (stalker:clear sky)

then, he have to kill "strelok" but he is strelok and he goes to the npp (stalker:soc)

  • Many Marked Ones are "ascended Monolith", but all Marked Ones have been stalkers of extraordinary skill, elite of any faction who have proven their skill by reaching the NPP. The Monolith is a bunch of fanatics of varied skill level, bound by common belief. Of course reaching NPP while you're a member of Monolith is vastly easier, so these "worthy of ascension" must prove themselves by service in protection of the Zone.

  • Stalker: Call of Pripyat i think....

  • Yea that is the "best" ending in SoC. People should remember that Clear Sky was prequel, not sequel.

The reason strelok is in that room getting he's brain erased or something like that, is that he went to the center of the zone to destroy it, not to cause an emission.

In SoC, strelok after losing he's memory, follows himself to the plant and in the end realizes that zone must be destroyed. So he's been in the center of the zone for total of 3 times :P

  • Next STALKER game could take place just right after Strelok made it to the zone, and where he died or joined the C-Con (not the one he survived in, coz he kinda saved the world there.)

So the Zone would still remain with its mutants and emissions.

  • Isn't that like one of the seven endings in the first STALKER? He kills the C-Consciousness, they who brainwash people, releasing emissions, making zombies and control the mutants, and everything turns green and happy (and Strelok fall asleep or something)

  • it clears things up lol...i just wish there was an ending were they destroyed the zone

  • I wonder where the distinction lies between those who become "Marked Ones" and get their memories wiped to be used as pawns like Strelok was, and those who simply become Monolithians. It's implied that the Monolith faction began as regular stalkers who just believed in the legends and formed their own religious order - only becoming truly nuts AFTER they went on their mass pilgrimage to the center of the zone, but they also hint that the faction is controlled by C-Con... I dunno
