This guy's so called "point" is weak. We should never make a film like this because someone out there might feel encouraged to such behavior himself? As if someone of that mindset would not do so without watching this film?Please. This film does not glorify rape or subjugation of women. It shows the brutal reality of it and for that reason is more powerful a deterrent than just denying it as Norman seems to suggest.

Norman is not known for being snooty, and British men are not "typically snooty". Norman's somewhat fearful reaction to the movie is more typical of the time - a quarter of a century ago - than it is of a country.

I think that they both had valid points. There is still a lot of controversy surrounding the victimization of women and the medias portrayal thereof. I thoroughly enjoyed these compelling performances!

I have been the victim of an attempted home invasion. With no witnesses besides myself I could not prove anything, so the perp came back later and stole my car. This movies' premise became all too relavent to me-- with no physical evidence, no witnesses, what would you do?
