if Steve Robs (funny) doesnt like competition and just sues anything that uses innovation and has competitive edge then he should really chill out and improve his stuff.
-
and android is also more free, you can customize the phone and everything, and too many people has iphones
-
Steve always steals from others and crys when someone takes something from him.

It's funny how people thought ms was the big bully, now apple is starting to show their true colors, whilst ms is just rising above them.

More nonsense from job's and these nonsense patents. He needs to concentrate on doing better, or shall we say- take his own advice and improve his companies devices.

@jamaic1aboy2 agreed, wholeheartedly.

ideas that apple took they made better and they weren't patented. The ideas htc stole from apple, apple has already patented them. It is common sense if another company or person is taking away business or credit from you or your company when you have legal proof that they are your ideas you have the right to sue. I don't think it is because steve jobs is a control freak because apple has a very elite and smart board of directors and this would have to pass them before apple made this decision.

@mjwilliams713 Hmm--so your argument is that outright admitting theft is OK, if you improved the original product, but having someone "steal" a broadly patented idea like multitouch, which is more of an idea than a design, isn't? Many of the things in the lawsuit are for general patents. Sort of like saying, "I invented this four sided shape" and then suing when someone makes a square.

@0Mindless0 because multi-touch is an idea companies are aloud to use apple's invention but they have to aquire a license from apple, palm is an example of a company that has aquired a license from apple to use multi-touch on their phones (palm pre). HTC DID NOT aquire a license from apple therefore apple has all the right to sue. how this is a crazy action by apple? It is the business world and why would you just watch another company succeed with your invention illegally.

@mjwilliams713 No, you are totally missing what I am saying--the patent itself is false, and thus the suit is wrong, and crazy. Apple holds various patents, and anyone who has read anything about tech patents is aware of how silly this whole thing is. The idea is simple--if you use the actual code that apple wrote to implement multi-touch on your phone, that is patent infringement. If you write your own code to do the same, it is not. since HTC didn't the suit is invalid. Apple is out of line.
