I find it ironic how people made a fuss about the knocking and the red nail polished.

It was confirmed that Lucy did not pick up the ring by the producers; she was, in fact, sent to prison and her story ended there until the End of Time. The hand is of an apparantly older woman.

The knocking, in truth, is not the Master. He merely hears it, meaning someone else must be knocking for him and the Doctor to keep hearing it.

The knocking is from the real enemy in the finale, something 'dark'.

Heres what i think the master is killed by lucy but its a set up, he told her to do it but before he knew he was going to be killed his physical form as such he used the ring to contain a part of himself like the watch and told lucy how to get back to where the doctor burnt him, therefore finds the ring to set him free yet again,

for some reason all these sort of hidden clues in doctor who kinda scare me... like clues to show other people comming back like the master, and davros and other people like rose.... it's really cool but kinda creepy and mysterious.... don't u think?
