"Put your foot on the ground!" I totally remember being given this advice by my college roommate and always thought it worked, now I have validation! Yureka!
-
@thegnome54 As a native english speaker I like the pace of the videos. Maybe non-native speakers would appreciate if you added subtitles, though. YouTube supports CC but far too few people use it!

Watching this drunk is rad
-
Great stuff! How would you explain Meniere's?
-
@thegnome54 Noooooo! Please don't slow down! This is perfect as a little lunch-break morsel of information for those of us with limited attentional resources/generally exhausted brains. I probably wouldn't have finished it if you had taken too long to get to your point.
-
@zutis80 *Clap clap clap* Good for you ! you can understand english...
-
@GimmeBlondes I'm not having any problems. I assume that means you're over-exaggerating a bit.
-
Not sure this is correct. My impression was that it was the differential diffusion of blood alcohol into the endolymphatic membranous labyrinth that imparted motion to this fluid because of the resultant change in the specific gravity. Do you have a reference indicating the alcohol diffuses into the cupula specifically, which is mostly acellular gelatinous material?

More science! I really enjoy watching how things work! :D

The human body is amazing.
-
@Prinzomniac The most epic story I have ever read!
-
@thegnome54 It's good for me, though I has no mother english tongue :D
-
I fucking LOVE science. Thanks for this!
-
i get out of school and what do i do, appearently learn more
-
Haha I guess there is some truth there when people say "Hair of the dog that bit you".
-
@thegnome54 Maybe you can just add some subtitles? I love your videos btw, very cool concept for teaching science. :)
-
why havent i discovered your vids earlier sir......id rather listen to you the most of my professors lol
-
@thegnome54 Actually, I like how you talk fast. If someone doesn't understand it, he'll listen to it another time. And because of that, they'll remember it better! At least, that's what I think about it..
Keep up the amazing videos!
-
@thegnome54 yea its too much information and thats why i had to watch the video 2 times which is good rite? more views!! great video (english is not my mother language either)
-
Jesse Eisenberg?!?!
-
do more videos on the vestibular system please!
-
cool story bro
-
try to sound less like jesse eisenburg from the facebook movie lol... nah im just joking, good video!
-
@thegnome54 When you speak quickly the information gets into my brain FASTER! Isn't the response time to an auditory stimulus ~12ms while the response time to a visual stimulus is >30ms?
Anyway, talking fast is a good thing....If people cannot keep up with the pace, then they can replay the video an unlimited number of times until they understand the material.
-
I expected you to demonstrate the effects of alcohol by juggling
Argh... please don't forget that you are trying to make a video to spread knowledge.
What I try to imply here is that you are speaking FAST for any person who has not english as a mother tongue. I can express myself quite well in english and I can understand pretty much anything in english BUT I'm french and having a hard time to follow your presentation because of the poor quality added to your fast paced speech :/
Just mentionning so you can improve but thanks for the lesson anyways :)

@GimmeBlondes Hey, sorry you're having trouble! I speak French probably as well as you speak English, so I feel your fast-speaking pains. To be honest I'm usually worried that people will get bored if I talk too slowly, but I will try to slow down a bit more and see if anyone complains. Thanks for the feedback, happy new year's!
