I know the song has a capo on the 6th not the 8th, but it's easier for me to sing because Sam's got a low breathy voice. :)

Hey did you know this is originally a Postal Service song which ben gibbard (also lead singer of death cab for cutie) was in that band! whoo... But anyway I think you should sing the postal service version of it it would be really cool!
