Leading@Google: Lawler Kang

Lawler Kang visits Google's Mountain View, CA headquarters to discuss his book "Passion at Work: How to Find Work You Love and Live the Time of Your Life." This event took place on March 4, 2009, as part of the Leading@Google series.

Ever wondered what makes a good-or great-leader? Think you have leadership potential but have been reluctant to step forward? Ever wanted to lead but felt you lacked the tools, training or charisma? In Passion at Work: How to Find Work You Love and Live the Time of Your Life, Lawler asserts that from our own perspective and experience, we all can become leaders when our passions are awakened, ignited and engaged.

Drawing on personal stories and compelling data, Lawler will start by illustrating the power, need and benefits of bringing your passions to work and using them to lead. He will then walk participants through some tools-Engagement Driveryou can use to identify your passions and align them in a team and organizational context, with holistic returns.

After 15 years of corporate and entrepreneurial leadership, Lawler was on vacation and started doodling a process that became the genesis of his current work. Soon thereafter, he wrote Passion at Work, and founded LK Ventures (www.lk-ventures.com).
