You're not entitled to hit people just because you're in a car. Learn how to drive and share the road. Single occupancy cars should have the lowest priority in order for our cities to be livable.

@kimmarie801 actually, often taking the lane is by far the safest means of riding on the road. there is not always a safe shoulder. legally it is recommended in those cases. what I would really like to see is true solid bike infrastructure that does not require riding in the road at all, like cycle tracks next to parked cars..

The idea and potential is great but like most places people abuse what they have and all it takes is one small miscalculation for someone to end up dead or seriously injured.............and that is unnecessary
