Free energy has been here all along ,But the Big corporations spend millions to ensure that information does not spread to the masses,Get the blueprints for a free energy motor at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Free yourself!

I would just put it on STBY if I'm leaving my computer for less than 1 hour, and just turn off if more than 2-3 hours. Simple as that. Save your twenty dollars for gas.

Uh.....stupid, ever hear of the sleep button ON your computer?
bigbubba954 2 years ago
bigbubba954,
That's the point... ALL computers have a sleep button, but how many of us actually use it. (I do, and you probably do... but I've worked IT before and the vast majority of computers on our network stayed on 24 hours a day.)
This isn't a new technology, it's just a playful way to remind people to use the built-in standby function.
-- Sometimes you can have a great piece of tech, but if people don't change their habits to use it, your tech is useless.
.
Peace,

Bought it... tried it, tested it... wow you push it it puts yours system in standby mode.. wow thanks for wasting my $20... a quick test clamping the computer electrical use shows no difference between normal standby and the ecobutton standby... if anything I think its worse constantly flashing its annoying LED's and then every time you wake pops up a very annoying full screen pop-up. Needless to say, they have a return coming back from them... hate scam products.

hbsteve88,
Sorry you've had such a negative experience with the EcoButton. We never got one in the lab so I wasn't able to do a real review, but perhaps I was also not entirely clear in the interview.
This doesn't create a new standby mode. It's the exact same standby that you would have if you just clicked "standby" -- This is designed for those people who leave their computers running all the time. It's more of a "habit adjusting" product than a new power device.
.
Peace,
Fr. Robert

Can't see this doing well, when most keyboards have a sleep button on there keyboard.

danbron & daavi8tor,
I totally understand your position, but that's exactly what this product is trying to address... the attitude problem with saving energy in regards to our computers. We all have incredibly green, power-saving tech built into our desktops and laptops, but how many of us use it? This product works on the "rewards" system that gives people a little emotional boost everytime they put their computer to sleep. -- Sometimes it's not about the tech, it's about the people.
