Cleaning with the blind filter (back flushing) only works if your 3-way valve doesn't get clogged up and jam! Ooops!

  • Does the blind filter come with the machine?

  • Nah, I bought the blind filter seperately. They are easy to get from any coffee parts store (google coffee parts) and many cafes that sell coffee-related stuff. Forget exact price, but no more than a few dollars, if that. Mine -- and most -- is made to fit a commercial size porta-filter. I don't think the Sunbeam is exactly a commercial sized PF, but it fits anyway! Tip: hold the PF loose in the brew head -- not fully locked in -- until water overflows rim. This stops PF jamming in brew head.
