  • Government the "employer of last resort?"

Sorry, but that will quickly become the "employer of first choice." The larger the government work force, the weaker the people and the more debt incurred, thus the higher the taxation.

For govt, in general smaller is better, less is more, and keep it LOCAL, LOCAL, LOCAL. We have control of local govt, we have virtually no control of federal government.

  • If you manage to cut 15% from the defense budget, why on earth would you then spend it elsewhere!?!? Just cut it out and let the people keep their money!

We could easily, easily cut 50% of the Dept. of Defense's budget and be a SAFER country by just bringing our troops home to defend OUR borders, not the borders of Afghanistan and Pakistan!

  • Where would the money for these programs come from. It couldn't possibly be the tax payers, could it? If Kucinich truly wants government out of our lives, then he should oppose any type of taxation. Ron Paul 2012!

  • Ron Paul Money Bomb! Ready Ames Fire! July 19th! Lets rid D.C of the same establishment trash we've had every 4 years and get a Constitutionalist statesmen in office instead of a pandering politician that puts his party before the American people! wwwdotronpaul2012dotcom FYI Ron Paul was endorsed by Ronald Reagan!

  • it is common since for a country to help its citizens get medical care for free and to do all it can to give the children the best education they can. these are self preservation actions that this country should have always had in place. why arent these achievable? because our government is controlled by globalists who want us to be sick and stupid. • This guy is AWESOME! :] However, so is Ron Paul. Either of these guys in 2012 and I will be on cloud nine.

  • "Get Government Out Of Bedroom"....ok. Well I also want the government out of my pocket. We need a liberty party that can offer both!

  • The Federal government has NO role in most of the things Mr. Kucinich espouses. Certainly not a "single payer" health care system. Not wind/solar energy. Not free college education. It can NOT "create" new jobs -- only the private sector can do that. Actually, the only legitimate function of the govt he mentioned is the military -- which is the one he wants to cut! Unbelievable.

  • Because more socialism through government funded programs means less freedom.

  • Democrats are merely less extreme socialists (would turn into a socialist society left unchecked) Republicans are a few steps from communism. But if you limit the role of government the way a true fundamental republican (ron paul) believes. You limit government to only focus on protecting the individuals life, liberty, and pursuit to happiness. Government should not lend a hand on ANY social issue. If any government does, it should be limited to the STATE and not the FED.
