  • very nice, i love the sound of your bass, would you think it´s worth it to upgrade to the fender deluxe j bass i currently own a squier vintage mod. j bass . Is there a big difference? which one you prefer??

  • @mnpm0 Thanks for watching and commenting. I also own a Squier VM J. I don't prefer one over the otehr really, they are both nice instruments. A Good active preamp in the Squier could make it active if that's what your looking for. I like the new 3 tone sunburst squier makes a lot. A preamp added to that would be very nice. I'd say just play them and see if it suits you.

  • Awesome...! And you've only been playing bass 2 - 3 years right?

Great groove, good bassline & well played. I'm feeling inspired to pick my bass up now :)

RE the Micro-VR head/stack - Would you say that's suitable for playing in small venues? Halls, pubs/clubs etc. And how heavy is it? I've always been interested in one, but bought a 50watt Ampeg combo in the end.

    Cheers, Smaz :)

  • @Smazmania Thank for the view and comment, as far as the head/cab being suitable for "Live" use, I guess that would totally depend on who else was playing, how loud, is there a PA it can run thru etc. It suits all those needs for me, but each persons needs are different. You can increase it's volume by adding a second cabinet, I haven't needed to.

  • @Prexi01 I don't know really. I was playing it Saturday evening, low volume, and it just up and died. It made a bunch of unpleasant noises and when powered back on it was dead. However a cal to Ampeg Support this morning and they are gladly sending me a new one (it's under warranty) Apmeg's support dept is great, they took care of me very well :-)

  • @jkramer5 RIP. What happened?

  • Well this is the first and last video with this bass rig, The little Ampeg Micro-VR head in the background just died. :-(

  • grooooovy!
