  • Where or how do you get ahold of the 'resin' (spelling?) for the making the final plastic piece? Does it come all by itself or do you have to mix in other ingredients? I've done piece before, but only latex and gelatin, so I'm not famaliar with this material.

  • @merlin8585 Kinda depends where you live - if you're in the UK google Tirantis or Mouldlife.

It's actually fibre glass which comprises a resin coating which is used to laminate glass fibre. You need to mix it with a catalyst to cause it to set..

  • Very instructive. I made my first attemp of terminator FX make because of this video. Thank youu!

  • @ARUK186 Thanks dude, I saw your vid - very cool!

  • You could get the size of the eye piece down a lot by using a surface mount LED instead of normal LED, and add a piece of acrylic lens on top of the component to mask it (and act as a lens).

The depth of the eye piece could theoretically be shaved down to around 4mm, although you'd still have to mount it convincingly. :)

  • Thanks, I'll give that a go if I ever get round to having another go at this!

  • booger at 4.28, just sayin

  • You can actually hide the batteries inside the mask like I did.

  • A quick way for those who don't have time. make the mold of your face, cover with modeling clay, put on the proper details, remove and apply liquid latex over the modeling clay. What you will get is a flexable face part. ALl is required is some powdered silver.

    Works great..

  • Hi!!! We are makers of a No Profit Web Series called Vincent Kosmos!!! Do you wanna collab with us? :)

  • @thedarkpower

Ok, so just the resin for fiber glass and a catalyst? Alright then. I'm sure I've got a few kinds of catalysts available here, but I'll need to order some resin. Thanks a lot for the help. I hope it turns out ok.

  • really awesome !

  • Wooohoo! :D
