These drives start out on the Missouri Valley floor at elevation around 4,000 feet. We trail east up the Big Belt Mountains and move the cattle through canyons with limestone rim rocks and across high ridges through Douglas fir and Ponderosa pine forests. Except when we are in the depths of the canyons.
