BMW's groundbreaking The Hire film series ignored conventions and created the phenomenon known as online films. The Web has never been the same since. These eight short films by critically acclaimed Hollywood directors effectively revolutionized the world of interactive entertainment, while showcasing the absolute limits of automotive high-performance exclusive to BMW. Over 100 million film views and numerous awards later, The Hire film series served as further proof that when it comes to innovation and technology, BMW has always been ahead of its time.

  • very true BMW's handle really well, n they also break really well,

  • Yup, but that's simply because the E39 5er is from another movie 'The Chosen'.

  • I'm old, fat and I drive a small engined bimmer .. and if you look closely you'll see that several of the shots in this clip are NOT an M5 ... look at the front bumpers and the rear under-bumper skirts on the silver e39s .. one is definitely an M5 - one is definitely not .. no prizes for the ones who spot the difference.

  • "Weight is a non-issue." Interesting. You just invalidated the foundations of weight transfer severity in the Skip Barber racing school curriculum. I think my fishing license will do just fine, thank you.

  • Actually, the stunt driver 'clearly states' that the reverse 180 is hard BECAUSE you have to be careful not to spin it too much "or you do a 360". Then said a fwd 180 was hard because the BMW was built to stick, not slide.

Anyway, 70s cars are bigger and heavier than a 740i, so snowrocket is saying the weight is a non-issue. BTW, he's not bragging - read some of the other posts for this clip. And, a rev 180 is easier than a fwd 180. When you get your licence, go to an empty lot and try it.

  • I think he's making fun of the braggarts talking about their penis pump cars dad bought for them...

  • Yeah right... If you're driving a veyron, i'm flying a space shuttle
