Turbo Crystal is a new project from talented Frenchman Jean-François Mouliet, who also records & performs as PacoVolume. His widely acclaimed debut album Manhattan Baby has been the subject of serious interest from an array of UK labels. Turbo Crystal is an outlet for Mouliets less serious, raw & stripped ghetto rock. This is DIY punk funk that will appeal to buyers of Modular, DFA, Kitsune and disco heads alike. The hyped New York collective Escort, who are getting props from the likes of Trevor Jackson, Metro Area, Ewan Pearson, Prince Language, The Rapture and so on, provide an awesome rework. The gang put together a totally new backdrop with added vocals, brass the lot! New Tiny Sticks signing Fabrizio Mammarella also sprinkles his Italian disco magic on Another Glass to make for a dubby, slo-mo, cosmic style joint.
