GRANT COUNTY, Ky. (WKRC) -- A former high school band director pleads guilty to sex abuse charges Wednesday in Grant County and is likely to spend 10-years in prison. Kenneth David Owens and his wife, Joann, both entered guilty pleas. He pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual abuse and one count of tampering with a witness. Joannn Owens pled guilty to two counts of tampering with a witness and will get 3-years probation. Kenneth David Owens is also facing charges in Kenton County and Boone County. The plea agreement he signed Wednesday allows his sentence to run concurrent with a 10-year sentence he will receive in Kenton County and a 5-year sentence he will receive in Boone County. Kenneth David Owens will surrender his Kentucky teaching certificate. He will be formally sentenced March 5th.
