This is from episode 41 of Dmotor. Tim Schrick tests the Corvette c6 z06 against the viper.
I've encoded it with the subtitles from the dmotor subtitle project on finalgear.com

  • Thanks for the vid, it was fun to watch. I take issue with DMotor though. Do they even try to confirm some of the bs they say. They said the z06 uses leaf springs and that's absolutely wrong. It uses a multilink setup like most of todays sports cars. This isn't the first time I've seen a video in which they gave incorrect information on and while I like watching Tim Schrick throw the car around, there journalism has lost all credibility to me.

  • It does use leaf springs. They are transverse mounted and carbon fiber. 1 spring per axle and they double as adjustable sway bars.

    This is true for the ZR-1 as well.

    Only reason why anyone hates on it is because they can.

  • I like how he cuts to the chase instead of making jokes and going on about interior and ride quality like Clarkson.

  • this show would be so great if i could learn german =( topgear doesnt like to talk about the preformance and stuff which makes them good but Dmotor made the performance and stuff sound interesting and i like that

  • When he says that transverse leaf springs are rarely found anymore, what he means is, it's an extremely rare setup and has been since the beginning of time. Probably at least half of all cars sold with that setup in all of history have been Corvettes. It's very high-tech, really, and the only reason it's not more common are the higher cost and the fact that no one knows how to tune it. The old-fashion way is longitudinal leaf springs which hold a live axle in place; very very VERY different.

  • I'd rather watch this than Top Gear

  • The only thing they got wrong is that on the Viper, ABS has been available since 2001. Not 2002

  • Its funny how Jeremy clarkson always makes fun of Germans for being so technical and perfect about their engineering..I never realized how true that statement was until i saw this video lol

  • I just clicked on the video, didn't watch it yet but i can say: CORVETTE WINS, ALWAYS!

  • gute arbeit mit den subtitles

  • You can tell by his face at 9:22 just how hard that viper pulls lol.

  • Finally somebody who can honestly review cars unlike that fat moron Clarkson!

  • Nicht half a decade => half a century

  • die Viper ist halt ein richtiges männerauto!!! drum hat's auch so einen geilen arsch
