it's weird. Dorian was being caring and hateful at the same time

This episode was noteworthy because for the first half hour, there was NO music score. Only the thunder sound effect. When Jean Randolph takes over and you hear the piano, it's the second half.

I watched these episodes when they first aired in February 1995 and was glued to the television. This was daytime drama at its most intense. Before I realized it was Tommy, I thought it was Viki herself that had thrown Dorian down the stairs, consdiering how she hated her. I just sat there with my mouth open through the commercial break that followed that scene. Michael Malone was probably OLTL's last great head writer, and the intensity of these scenes will probably never be seen again.

I've asked before. & I'll ask again ... Is the actress that plays Viki's mother the same that played her psych, Susanna Hanen (sp?),.Nora's sister, in later episodes ?
Excellent writning, excellent direction, excellent sound, EXCELLENT ACTING from two of the best. This storyline was a soap lover's dream, right up there with B.J.'s death/Maxie's heart transplant on GH. SOOOOO sad they don't make 'em like that anymoe. Thank you YouTube.

"YOU STUPID UGLY BITCH"

Car Phone (1995) ;) BTW..I love Jean!

What I find amazing is that the storyline had a huge history with Victor, Dorian and Viki,an amazing set of stories in between, and then an actual ending that made sense. It was just superbly written, utilizing history and the best actors. Of course, it can't compare to some shirtless newbies who almost got accepted into acting school, but even when I was in my 20s, I always thought the best stories involved the older actors like Viki, Dorian, Bobbie Spencer, Nikki Newman, Donna Love, etc.

"Oh god, I hate the hair."
Fantastic...

@JLGH4ever Kind of like seeing Joanne Woodward on stage in The Three Faces of Eve....
Not only was this OLTL's last truly excellent storyline, it was very adult like and these scenes were impeccably produced, acted, scored, lit, and the camera work was stunning. And that music was haunting. OLTL no longer has musical scores-
These network people should be ashamed of what they have turned these shows into
