Namaz-e-Janaza of GHQ Incident Martyrs - Brig Anwar And Lt Col Wasim Shaheed - Pakistan Army

Brigadier Anwar UL Haq Shaheed:

The funeral prayer of Brigadier Anwar UL Haq, who embraced martyrdom in terrorist attack at the security forces check post at General Headquarters, was held at Army Graveyard Rawalpindi Sunday. Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Muhammad Mustafa Khan, Lieutenant General Javed Zia, Adjutant General and a large number of senior serving and retired Officers, Junior Commissioned Officers, Jawans, relatives of the martyred Brigadier and senior civil officials attended the Namaz-e-Jinaza. A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army presented the Guard of Honour to the Shaheed.

The floral wreaths were laid on the grave of Lt. Col. Wasim on the part of President Asif Ali Zardari and Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and regiment of the Shaheed. Pak Army laid down floral sheets and offered Fateha Khawni at the grave of Lt. Col. Wasim Ahmed, who was martyred in the operation against the terrorists at GHQ Rawalpindi the other day. The martyred was laid to rest in his native Punjpir and was attended by thousands of mourners and locals of the area on late Saturday night. Large number of people is coming to the residence of the Shaheed and is offering Fateha. He was the brother of Col Faheem and Col Nadeem and son of Capt retd Amir Ali.
